Effetto Sauna is a section that compares artists at different stages of their careers. The title echoes the vision of Knud W. Jensen, founder of the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art in Denmark, who in the 1950s sought to bring the public closer to contemporary art by alternating two visual temperatures: a “warm” section, with works by artists already well known in art circles, and a “cold” section, dedicated to emerging artists yet to be discovered.

Galleries will be invited to pair their artists with a young artist who is not yet represented or introduced to the market.
Often, artists with an established practice, significant projects and residency experiences that have given depth to their research fail to make a connection with the market. This problem may seem trivial, but it has a significant impact on their careers and personal lives. Stepping outside the parentheses means stepping out of this limbo and creating a relationship with the market, an operation aimed at supporting emerging artists and practices.
