PROJECTS AT THE FAIR
EXTENDED OPENING
On Friday, October 9, the fair will remain open until 9:00 pm for a special evening dedicated to gallerists, collectors and enthusiasts of modern and contemporary art, thanks to the partnership with Rossetto Group. From 6:30 pm, the evening will feature a DJ set curated by Path Festival, a performance celebrating traditional Korean music and performing arts, curated by AWave in Hall 11, and a special guest: Nziria, a queer DJ and producer of Neapolitan origin.
PORTALUCE
PORTALUCE
curated by Edizioni Brigantino
For ArtVerona, the artist duo Edizioni Brigantino presents PORTALUCE, a habitable installation that reflects on the idea of transition and turns the fair’s hall into a place to linger and meet.
CINEMA HALL
For the second year running, Hall 12 is hosting the Cinema Hall, an open and dynamic space that allows the public to come and go as they please, exploring their own pace of engagement and taking in the impressions they have gathered.
The screening programme has been put together in collaboration with international archives and public and private collections, such as the Tampieri Collection in Modena. CNAP – Centre National des Arts Plastiques in Paris, a prestigious archive founded during the French Revolution, is also returning for a second year. Exhibiting galleries are invited to take part by submitting video proposals.
In addition to the screenings, the cinema enriches the overall experience of the fair with the CONVER_SIAMO programme of meetings and talks, in collaboration with APICE.
CONVER_SIAMO
CONVER_SIAMO is ArtVerona’s public programme, unfolding over the three days of the fair through screenings and talks in the Cinema Hall, Pavilion 12.
Art historians, registrars, artists, private collectors and directors of private institutions and public museums address themes relating to the art world, from the management of archives and collections to the relationship between art and business, and between public and private sectors. The meetings highlight the connections between the different roles that make up the contemporary art system. The talk programme has been developed in collaboration with Apice, a leading company in the transportation, installation and storage of works of art.
PRIMA
PRIMA (Hall 11) is a project dedicated to artists who are still in the midst of their training. It was developed in collaboration with CONTEMPORALIS – Association Amis Art Contemporain France-Italie and the Department of Visual Arts at the Accademia di Belle Arti di Verona.
The Podcast ‘Invitation to See’
conceived and curated by Laura Lamonea and Tommaso Santagostino
The title is an homage to visual artist and theoretician Stelio Maria Martini, who has always inhabited the borderlands between language, art and thought.
The ArtVerona podcast, launched last March, was developed to generate interest in the twentieth edition of ArtVerona through a polyphonic account of the artistic, social and human ecosystem that makes it still possible today for art to be a fundamental element of our society.
